My Work area is very small , But I always prefer, you should have one long work bench. Bigger work bench will help you organize thing properly and help you to avoid mistakes.

A multimeter, purpose don’t need to be explain. Personally if you will ask me, I never used a costly good multimeter, I prefer chap one.  This multimeter in image you are seeing is just 150INR or 2$ USD. It does all the job for me like Voltmeter, Current Measurement, AC measurement and Resistance check, pretty much all basic work. You can buy this one from here. If you want to invest more, Then I will suggest to invest in FLUKE.

Pliers and Cutters:

Consider investing on few development boards, they really save a lot of time and help you to produce prototype in very less time.

Conclusion:

I will always suggest you to invest less, but make sure you don’t compromise quality of tools. Tools for GeeK and Sword for warrior should always be sharp to get most out of it.
